The Bible (comprising the Holy Scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments) is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God (see Galatians 1:11-12; 2 Timothy 3:16-17).
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (see Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19; John 10:30; 14:16-17; 17:11, 21; Acts 2:32-33; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
KCM holds fast to: The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (see Colossians 2:9), in His virgin birth (see Matthew 1:18-25), His sinless life (see Hebrews 9:11-14; 1 Peter 1:17-21), His miracles (see Matthew 8:14-15; Mark 1:21-28; Luke 4:40; John 2:1-11; 4:46-54, as examples), His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood (see Romans 6:10; Hebrews 9:26, 28; 10:10), His bodily resurrection (see Matthew 28:1-10; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (see Mark 16:19; Luke 22:69; 24:50-51), and His personal return in power and glory (see Revelation 17:14; 19:16).
The regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and sinful people (see Matthew 19:28-30; John 3:3, 5-8; Titus 3:3-7).
The present ministry of the Holy Spirit indwells the Christian, enabling them to live a godly life (see Romans 6:1-11; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Colossians 3:9-11).
The resurrection of both the saved and the lost: Of those who are saved, unto the resurrection of life, and of those who are lost, unto the resurrection of damnation (see John 5:28-29; Acts 24:14-16).
The spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (see John 15:1-17; 1 John 2:24-25; Revelation 19:6-8).
The operation of the gifts of the spirit, including: wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, healing, the work of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues, and the interpretation of tongues (see 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; 14:1, 12, 39-40; Acts 10:45; 11:17).
We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life (see Psalm 139).
We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (see Genesis 1:26-27). Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture (see Genesis 2:18-25). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (see 1 Corinthians 6:18; 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4). We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage.
We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, use of pornography, etc.) is sinful and offensive to God (see Matthew 15:18-20; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through a personal relattionship with Jesus Christ (see Acts 3:19-21; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11).
We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity (see Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31). Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of Kingdom Community Ministries.
We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of Kingdom Community Ministries as a part of the local Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to those seeking Christian counseling services from KCM, as well as to those living within the communities we serve, it is imperative that all persons employed by or contracted with KCM in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, agree to and abide by this Statement of Faith (see Matthew 5:16; Philippians 2:14-16; 1 Thessalonians 5:22).
